Exclude Modifiers in Discount
Exclude Modifiers in Discount applies the discount only to the parent item, excluding any modifier or add-on items associated.
Things to Know
Exclude Modifiers in Discount is supported in most offer types. However, in the Discount ( $ ), Discount ( % ), and Multiply Points the offer configuration must also require an item-level qualifier to be applicable.
Multiply Points offers must be configured to earn points based on the qualifier items (i.e. the offer setting of “Earn Points” is “On every qualifying item”).
Discount ( $ ) and Discount ( % ) qualifying rule must be configured to “Item”.
Exclude Modifiers in Discount is not supported in:
Purchase Total campaigns
Purchase Item campaigns with the Bonus Type “Multiply Points” or “Add Points”
Offer types with the “Qualifying Rule” set to “Basket”
The “Add Points” offer type
Enabling Exclude Modifiers in Discount overrides any modifier items included in the Reward Item Group. This means a modifier can qualify an item for the offer but will not be included in the discount calculation.
We do not recommend enabling Exclude Modifiers in Discount when modifier items are set as qualifiers in the offer, as this usually results in a $0.00 discount. However, if Sum Parent & Modifiers for Qualified Item Discount is also enabled along with Exclude Modifiers in Discount, it is possible to create an offer where the discount applies to the parent item, even if the offer qualifies based on a modifier item.
