Member Account Notifications

Spendgo delivers all your member’s account notifications, such as their account verification, password reset requests, and confirmation of their Spendgo account creation.

Account Verification

When a member completes and submits the online sign up form, they will be required to at minimum verify their email address submitted. A verify email notification is sent to their provided email. Once they click the verify link, their account will successfully be registered. If the individual does not verify within 24 hours, their link will expire and they will have to start the sign up process again to get a new link.

  • There are multiple methods through which a member can join Spendgo, including online sign-up forms, in-store tablets, Spendgo-integrated mobile apps or POS systems, opting in via text keyword, and more. The sign-up process may have slight variations depending on the Partner type and Brands involved. However, regardless of the specific process, creating a registered member account always requires a verified email confirmation procedure.

  • It's worth noting that some of our Partner integrations verify the member's phone number within their own workflows, but this alone does not qualify as the creation of a registered account. To become a registered member, individuals must, at the very least, provide their phone number, a verified email address, a password, and agree to the Spendgo Terms & Conditions.

Account Confirmation

Once the member has verified their account email, a follow-up email will be sent to confirm their Spendgo account has been successfully created.

  • You have the option to deactivate the Spendgo confirmation email (or Spendgo Welcome email); kindly make this request through your Customer Success Manager. We recommend utilizing your integrated email provider to send a personalized Welcome email. Learn how to Create a Custom Welcome Email.

Requested Password Reset

When a member requests a password reset, they must provide their account email through the Member Portal forgot password page or through the Spendgo APIs. If their email exists in the Spendgo system, they will be sent a time sensitive password reset link from Spendgo Account Services <donotreply@spendgo.com>. Clicking on the password reset link will open a page where the member will be asked to provide and confirm their new password.

  • You can choose to Create a Custom Password Reset Link message, which can be sent via email or text message. Please note that this option will only be sent to members who have opted into the respective communication channel. It is recommended to use this as an additional notification method to ensure successful delivery.
