Multiply Points Offer

Use Multiply Points offers to accelerate your member’s points earned on purchases and their access to offers.

Examples

Here are some examples of how you can use Multiply Points offers to drive your business goals.

  • Earn 3x points happy hour
    Drive traffic at specific times of the day and encourage members to spend more because they see a greater immediate return on their purchases.

  • Add any dessert to your purchase and get 2x points on your entire order
    Encourage members to increase their spending by adding an additional item to their order.

  • Tiered points earn rate increases with higher spending
    Recognize members who spend more with a higher earn rate, and motivate other members to strive for higher-tiers so they can enjoy better offers.

Things to Know

  • The basket subtotal is the sum of all qualifying items — this means tax, tip, and most other service charges will not be included.

  • Items that have been marked non-qualifying to earn points in the main program will also not qualify to earn bonus points.

  • Understanding how points work will help effectively design your points offers.

  • Use Multiply Points offer type with Date & Time, Purchase Items, Purchase Total, and Recurring campaign automations. For other automation types like Birthday, Next Visit, Visit Threshold, and Registration, you can achieve a similar effect by configuring a Recurring offer campaign with a custom target audience.


Create a Multiply Points Offer

  1. Navigate to Campaigns / Create.

  2. Choose your Automation and click Next Step.

  3. Choose the Offer action.
    Notes: some automation will automatically navigate you to the offer setup when no other action options are available.

  4. Choose Multiply Points as your Offer Type.

  5. Define your offer parameters.
    See Offer Configuration Options for details on how to configure your offers.
    Notes: the campaign builder will determine for you which fields are required and options for your offer type selection. Enter all required fields displayed.

  6. Click Next Step.

  7. Set your target audience.
    Notes: the audience step is only relevant for Date & Time and Recurring automation types. All other automation types are triggered based on when the member meets the event criteria.

    1. To target all members, leave the audience Segment OFF.

    2. To target a specific audience, turn Segment ON. Select an existing audience or create a new audience within the builder.

  8. Click Next Step.

  9. Enter a unique Campaign Name for your internal reference.

  10. Schedule your campaign Start Date and time.

  11. (Optional) Schedule your campaign End Date and time. If this is not defined, you campaign will be ongoing with no end date.

  12. Review your campaign details and click on Schedule to create your new campaign.
